| If you haven't tried it you need to! Simon has reminded us all on the Forum that entries for the 26/27 September Croft round close on 12 September. It's a long way from the South or the Midlands, but that shouldn't be a problem. After all, the NorthEast Mafia come down to the Southerly circuits, and it's an easy tow, with motorway to within a few miles of the circuit. I've certainly towed there and back by myself. Croft, like most circuits, has a race school and its booklet has a circuit map with annotations for the corners. As we've given them a free plug if you want some coaching (www.croftcircuit.co.uk or 01325 721825) we hope they won't mind us reproducing it., as it might be of interest. One relevant point is that depending which one we get, the paddock can be a long way from the facilities, so if you have a carbon-framed moutain bike (or, like me, a foldaway shopper you begged from your next door neighbour), make sure you pack it. For those with an aviation interest, Croft was a satellite airfield in WW2 and was home to RAF Witleys and (much later) Mosquitoes, and also RCAF Halifaxes and Lancasters. So if you haven't yet entered, get that entry in! Tony Cotton
