| Congratulations
from an Old Mono Member
We've received an email from Roger Algar, a former owner of the
1600 championship winning Reynard. And in the picture from Rockingham
last year (right) he looks younger than the first 3 in 1600 this year!
Time for a come back, Roger?
Dear Monoposto Club,
I would like to send a message of congratulations to David Parkinson,
who has won the Mono 1600 championship this year.
I am an old club member, who used to race in what was then called Mono-Kent.
I campaigned what I believe to be the same
Reynard 83FF that David used to win the championship. Having had success
with it in 1990, I also won the championship
In 1991. Francis Phillips had success with it in 1989, as did Graham Worsefold
after me. It is so nice to know that the car is still
being raced, and is still at the sharp end of the grid.
I have some fantastic memories of the Mono club from 1986 to well into
the 1990’s, and would like to congratulate all the other
Champions this year,
Best regards,
Roger Algar.

Roger Algar is on the far right of this pic at the Rockingham
demi-centenary.

Can you really ever see too many pics of David and his car?*
*"Yes." - asst ed, 2nd in 1600 class.
