Monoposto Baking Grand Prix 2010

The first Monoposto Baking Grand Prix saw intense competition from 17 entrants. BGP organiser Sarah Fern and the two Judges-of-Fact, Dave Hirst and Simon Davey, were extremely impressed by the standard of preparation of the entries.
Results were determined by a two part scoring system, with points out
of ten awarded for presentation and for texture/taste. The first four
competitors crossed the finish line in a dead heat, so these four took
part in a run-off to determine the podium positions.
Congratulations to all the entrants –
the standard was really high and everyone enjoyed eating the competing

Several people asked the treasurer for the recipe for his flapjacks so that they could avoid making the same mistakes. So here is the recipe which (honestly) he followed.
