Peter Venn reports that he's reached Paris by bike. There's still time to sponsor him and help the British Heart Foundation. Here's the earlier article giving the details:
My eldest daughter Alice and her fiancé Adam have dragged me
in to do a charity cycle ride with them from London to Paris next
weekend in aid of the Briitsh Heart Foundation. We are riding in memory
of Adam’s Grandfather who passed away suddenly last August after
managing a heart condition for many years. The route is approximately 250 miles, and will take three days to complete. The first day is London to Folkestone, covering around 70 miles, followed by 80 miles on the second day across the French countryside to Amiens. The third, longest day finishes at the Palace of Versailles on the outskirts of Paris. The British Heart Foundation does fantastic work, both researching new treatments and possible cures for heart disease as well as supporting sufferers and their families. They also run a bereavement support line for those whose relatives aren’t lucky enough to survive heart attacks. Peter Venn August 2011
