Ewen and Vicky.

Ewen, Vicky, and all the other Monoposti David mentions. Scrub up amazingly well, don't they? To be honest, I thought they'd photoshopped this one, they look so well dressed.

I am pleased to advise that the wedding of Ewen Sergison and Victoria Canning took place on the 14th August 2011 at the Wentbridge House Hotel.

Vicky looked beautiful and wore a lovely dress made of some sort of material. Ewen was dressed in full Scottish regalia of which the main item appeared to be a blanket worn as a skirt. See Picture.

Monoposto guests were yours truly, Michael Dale, Ian and Sara Hughes. Also in attendance were Jock, mechanic Big Phil and their better halves. See mono photograph.

The happy couple flew off to Vietnam for their honeymoon proper then returned to collect the car and drove to Italy to compete in the Gumbald rally*.

An unusual part of the wedding ceremony was that an owl delivered the wedding rings to the best man. Michael Dale tried to talk to the bird later but got the same reaction he gets from most females.

This article is late. Ian Hughes took the photographs and displayed as much haste as he did when preparing his race cars for the 2011 season. In short I got them yesterday (12 September). Then the assistant editor selfishly went on holiday and didn't post the article until I reminded him. Wouldn't have happened when he was in the premier class.

Michael Dale does his world renowned Duke of Edinburgh impersonation while the bird ignores him. You can never have too many owls at a wedding.	Vietnam honeymoon "executive helicopter transfer" fell slightly short of the brochure description. (NB It is not widely known that DP was an SAS adviser to US forces in Nam. He likes to keep it quiet.)

*We have been asked to make clear it wasn't a rally at all, it involved no competition and it certainly wasn't called the Gumbald rally. But the bit about owls is definitely true. Almost certainly, definitely true.
