St. Cross Electronics is one of Europe's leading cable assembly and cable harness manufacturers. The company’s Managing Director, Dax Ward, is a well known Monoposto competitor and with his TEAM OFARC team mates Marc Fortune and Dan Levy is a popular presence in the Monoposto paddock. The sponsorship is part of a major move by St Cross Electronics into the Motorsport market, as Dax says, "Our partnership with Monoposto is a great way to further develop the presence that St. Cross Electronics has already successfully built in the motorsport marketplace. Our business in motorsport is rapidly growing. We are not just a manufacturer, we design and engineer whole projects. One of the greatest attributes about this championship is that individuals can engineer their cars and there are some very good engineers out there racing, from F1 to Aerospace. So this championship really suits our own business ethos." The deal will make a real contribution to keeping down the cost of entry fees for the Club’s races, and in this way it directly benefits every competing Club member. It will also help to further raise the profile and attractiveness of our Championship; and the bigger our grids become the more able we are to provide cost-effective racing on the best and biggest circuits. In return the Club is keen to ensure that St. Cross Electronics really do gain tangible benefits from their investment – and everyone can contribute to this, so please do carry and prominently display the new Championship decals on your car. You can find out more about St. Cross Electronics on their website at www.motorsportcables.com. During the season we also hope to be able to show club members various aspects of St. Cross Electronics capabilities and products at the Monoposto Club awning at race meetings. Monoposto’s Chairman, Nick Harrison, emphasised that the sponsorship deal is a partnership, saying: “Monoposto’s championship has gone from strength to strength and we are delighted that St. Cross Electronics has taken the decision to partner with us. We will be working closely with Dax and his colleagues to help them achieve their objectives. For 2012 we have arranged a superb race calendar for the St. Cross Mono Championship as well as continuing to keep costs as low as possible. With the support of St Cross Electronics and also the help of our race organising partners MSVR we aim to make this season the best yet for our competitors” In addition to the major St. Cross Electronics title sponsorship, the Championship will also continue to offer Mono SUNBAC Nova Awards for the best drivers who start their season as novices. The Mono SUNBAC Nova Awards have a total annual value of around £1000, certainly making them the richest award specifically for novice drivers.
